For those of you that don’t have any difficulty seeing in the distance, this article won’t be of interest to you.  But for the rest of us that have to wear glasses or contact lenses to be able to see clearly in the distance, then you should read on.

How many times have you gone to the beach or the swimming pool and taken you glasses off and the world goes blurry?  What if I said that wasn’t the way it had to be?

Did you know that there is such a thing as prescription swimming goggles?  This can mean the end of the blurry walk up the beach to try and find your towel.  Or guessing where the end of swimming pool is.

With respect to prescription swimming goggles, there are a couple of ways you can go.  The cheapest being the stock prescription lenses that are selected, in sphere powers.  Please note that they do not have to be the same prescription power in both eyes.

Another option is to have the perfect prescription fitted, into a either a special swimming goggle or dive mask.  It should be noted that these options are much more expensive than the spherical stock correction.

When it gets to ordering for those of you that don’t know which lens to choose for each eye.  We can look at your prescription and can give you the spherical equivalent.  This type of swimming goggle is available for both children and adults, but you need to order the correction option or the sizing will be incorrect.
